ALEXANDRIA, La. (Dec. 30, 2024) – Alexandria Emergency Hospital is excited to announce that it has been honored with the awards for “Best Hospital Emergency Room” and “Best Boss,” recognizing Dr. Kelvin Spears, in the 2024 Alexandria Community’s Choice Awards. Additionally, the hospital was a top finalist in three other categories, which were announced this month. These honors reflect the facility’s commitment to excellence in healthcare and its positive impact on the community.
The annual Alexandria Community’s Choice Awards, organized by the TownTalk newspaper, recognizes and celebrates the top businesses and individuals in the Alexandria community for their exceptional dedication, service, and impact. This year’s awards were voted on by the local community, featuring more than 170 categories and hundreds of nominations, including larger hospital systems in the area.

Alexandria Emergency Hospital took home awards in several categories in the Alexandria Community’s Choice Awards. The facility won the awards for “Best Hospital Emergency Room” and “Best Boss,” which recognized Dr. Kelvin Spears, Chief Medical Officer at Alexandra Emergency Hospital. Also, the hospital earned multiple top finalist recognitions in the community awards, including:
